3764356 - Report /SHCM/RH_SYNC_BUPA_EMPL_SINGLE fails with "BP role BUP003 does not exist for partner" when custom role was used instead of BUP003

After activating the standard BP role BUP003 in customizing (in addition to or replacing a previously used custom BP role), the report /SHCM/RH_SYNC_BUPA_EMPL_SINGLE fails for existing employees with the error message:

"BP role BUP003 does not exist for partner E<employee number>"

Additionally, attempting to manually extend role BUP003 to the existing Business Partner via transaction BP results in a hard stop message:

"Employee cannot be created in this system"

New hires created after the customizing change correctly receive both roles (the custom role and BUP003), but existing employees whose Business Partners were originally created with only the custom role remain in an inconsistent state.
