Symptom
You want to know who controls and determines the validity period (timeframe) of a certificate signed by a Certificate Authority (CA).
For example, after submitting a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) generated with sapgenpse, the resulting certificate has a validity of only 1 year and you want to understand why, or how to get a longer period.
