3764462 - Missing Designer or Validation Rules After Importing Best Practice (Note 3570410)

Symptom

After importing the Best Practice based on Payroll Activity List (SAP Note 3570410), the system does not display any Designer or Validation Rules.

Environment

  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Set Up Payroll Activity.
  2. Go to Validation Rule or Designer section.
  3. Observe that no Best Practice content (Designer/Validation Rule) is available.

Cause

The implementation for the imported Best Practice content has not been generated.

Specifically, the required provider implementations were not created because the report PYC_GENERATE_PROVIDER was not executed after the import.

Resolution

Execute report PYC_GENERATE_PROVIDER to generate the required implementations.
