3764807 - Snowflake SSO Connection Fails with "handshake_failure" Error in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.3

Symptom

  • When attempting to create a Snowflake SSO connection in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform, the following error occurs during connection testing:
    "The following database error occurred: JDBC driver encountered communication error. 
    Message: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure 
    Verify that the hostnames and portnumbers in SYSTEM$ALLOWLIST are added to your firewall's allowed list."
  • This error may appear even when firewall rules and network connectivity are properly configured.
