3764935 - Saving a new background element record triggers validation on existing records

Symptom

In latest people profile, when adding a new record to a background element and saving, validation errors are performed on exiting records and multiple error records are shown.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Field A of a background element used to be not mandatory with no value.
  2. When you then make a background element->field A mandatary and you try to add a new record, the validation check will also be performed for previous records, preventing you from adding new records. 

Cause

This is a known issue

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
