Symptom
- The time zone maintained in Manage Location for a specific location is not reflected in the Freight Order/Booking documents when this location is assigned.
- Despite the correct time zone being defined at the location level, the Freight Booking continues to use a different (default) time zone.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open Manage Locations.
- Select a specific location (for example, a port or airport).
- Maintain a specific time zone for this location (different from the system default).
- Save the location.
- Create or open a Freight Order/Booking.
- Assign this location as one of the relevant locations (for example, origin or destination).
- Check the dates/times displayed in the Freight Order/Booking.
Cause
Missing user display settings
Resolution
- In the Freight Order/Booking display settings, select the checkbox “Use Location-Specific Time Zone”.
- Ensure the correct time zone is maintained for the location before creating the freight documents so that dates/times are displayed using the location-specific time zone.
- If the location’s time zone was changed after the freight documents was created, note that the updated time zone will not be reflected in that existing documents.
