3765044 - Protected selection variants show yellow warning in S/4HANA 2025 which is different from 2020

• There is a requrement about the ability to edit protected selection variants after upgrade from 2020 to 2025.
• Different behavior observed between releases:
• In 2020: entering edit leads to an immediate red error and editing is blocked.
• In 2025: entering edit shows a warning and opens the edit screen, but saving is not possible.
• Example message: "Variant XXX is protected; only user YYY can make changes".
