3765169 - How to change the decimal pattern in a customized form template – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When customizing the form template, it is required to change the decimal pattern (for example from 2 decimals to 3 decimals) for the number displayed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Customize a form template using Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
  2. It is required to change the decimal pattern (for example from 2 decimals to 3 decimals) for the number displayed in the form.

Resolution

Follow the below steps to modify the decimal patterns aligning to the business need:

  1. Copy an existing check form template in the Maintain Form Templates app to create a custom template.
  2. Download the copied custom template.
  3. Open the custom template in Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
  4. Select the amount field that prints the numeric amount.
  5. In the Cell property, choose Type Decimal Field -> set the Pattern to the required format and save the template.
  6. Upload the updated template back to SAP system.
