3765207 - How to Set up a Workflow for Attendance Quota

This KBA explains how to configure a workflow to be triggered when an Attendance Quota is created or modified in the employee profile. Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental. 

SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

By default, Attendance Quotas are automatically approved when they are created or modified in the employee profile.

To enable workflow approval for Attendance Quota, perform the following steps: 

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Configure Business Rules.
2. Create a new rule for MDF Objects.
3. Select Attendance Quota as the Base Object.
4. Set the Purpose to Workflow.
5. Configure the rule:
   
   • If the workflow should be triggered in all scenarios, set the condition to Always True. 
   • Alternatively, define specific conditions if the workflow should only be triggered for certain Attendance Quota Types or other scenarios.
   • In the THEN section, set ''Workflow Context.Workflow Configuration'' to the desired workflow.

   6. Navigate to Admin Center > Configure Object Definitions.
   7. Assign the rule as a Save Rule under Attendance Quota object.

Now, any creation or modification of an Attendance Quota will result in a Pending status and trigger the configured approval workflow.
