3765419 - HRFORMS activation fails with SMARTFORMS001 Internal Error

Symptom

When activating or checking an HR Form in transaction HRFORMS, the following issues may occur:

  • The error message SMARTFORMS001 - Internal error (RC = 2, FORM = SFP_DESIGN_START, NR = 2) appears when the Form Builder is started to process or display a Smart Form.
  • The issue prevents the form layout from being opened, halting further development activities.
