3765463 - Balance Sheet/Income Statement PDF export does not show full G/L account number when alphanumeric accounts are used - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

In the Balance Sheet/Income Statement app, G/L account numbers are displayed correctly as 10 digits. However, when the report is exported to PDF, only the first 9 digits of the G/L account numbers are displayed

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Balance Sheet/Income Statement app.
  2. Choose Export to PDF.
  3. Choose "Show G/L Accounts"
  4. Observe that G/L account codes are displayed with only 9 digits in the PDF.

Cause

The built-in PDF preview of the Balance Sheet/Income Statement app uses a dedicated form template that follows central styling guidelines. This template is designed with a fixed field width that accommodates only 10 numeric characters for the G/L account field.

When a G/L account contains non-numeric characters (e.g., alphanumeric values such as AB00000000), the total display length exceeds the available space in the form template, causing the G/L account to be truncated in the exported PDF output.

Resolution

For G/L accounts that contain non-numeric characters, the built-in PDF preview is not suitable due to the fixed field width limitation described above.

As a workaround, please use the Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional instead to export the report data

Note: The Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional operates on the same data source as the Balance Sheet/Income Statement app, ensuring that all data — including G/L accounts with alphanumeric characters — is displayed completely without truncation.
