3765597 - MRP Area for Subcontractor appears in 'Monitor Material Coverage' app for materials not assigned in Material Master

In the "Monitor Material Coverage – Net and Individual Segments" app, an MRP Area associated with a subcontractor is displayed for a material, even though this MRP Area is not maintained in the "MRP 1" view of the Material Master and does not appear in Monitor Stock / Requirements List (MD04) app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app 'Monitor Material Coverage – Net and Individual Segments'.
2. Enter a material and plant, then choose Go.
3. The material displays an MRP area not assigned to the material in the Material Master.

If a subcontracting MRP Area is defined (Activity 'Define MRP Areas for Subcontractors' ID: 103069), the system automatically activates this logic for all materials that have the relevant subcontracting stocks and requirements.

The "Monitor Material Coverage" application is designed to aggregate these segments to provide full visibility of the planning situation, resulting in the MRP Area being displayed automatically.

This is the intended standard system behavior. No correction is required as the system is accurately reflecting the subcontractor-related supply and demand for the material.
