3765755 - SAP HANA Recovery Fails with "RECOVERY Missing backup in backint" and Error Code NOTFOUNDBACKINT Despite Existing Backup Catalog Entries

Symptom

During SAP HANA database recovery using Backint-based backups, for example Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), the recovery fails while backup entries are visible in the SAP HANA backup catalog.

The following messages can be observed:

RECOVERY Missing backup in backint
failed with error code NOTFOUNDBACKINT
Ignoring unavailable backint backup in strategy

Additional symptoms may include:

  • Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) cannot be completed.
  • Backup entries are visible in SAP HANA backup catalog views.
  • Recovery preparation fails before database recovery can proceed.
