3766024 - Employee with future termination date shows inactive in the people search

Symptom

  • The employee status shows inactive in the people search, even though the termination date is in the future.
  • After modifying the termination date to a new date in future, the employee status still shows inactive.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Add termination date for an employee
  2. Search for the employee in people search
  3. Observe that the employee status is changed to inactive
  4. Modify the termination date to a future date
  5. Search for the employee in people search
  6. Observe that the employee status still shows inactive

Cause

This is a Known Issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.

Workaround

Create a case with SAP support with the component: LOD-SF-PLT-SRH for triggering an index refresh to resolve this issue.
