Symptom
In the Employee Turnover: Yearly report, employee entry information is displayed, but termination information is missing for employees whose employment has already ended.
The issue may be observed even after maintaining or adjusting termination dates.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Personnel Administration work center.
- Navigate to the Employees view.
- Select the employees with termination date maintained.
- Go to the Business Analytics work center.
- Open the Employee Turnover: Yearly report.
- Apply filters for the relevant employees and reporting period.
The report displays employee entry information, but the termination column remains empty.
Cause
The affected employees are temporary employees hired through Regular Tasks.
For temporary employees, when the employment relationship ends, the termination information is not recorded in the same way as it is for regular employees. As a result, the Employee Turnover: Yearly report does not capture these terminations.
The termination of temporary employees is not included in the report by design.
Resolution
- Verify whether the affected employees are temporary employees hired through Regular Tasks.
- The Employee Turnover: Yearly report does not include termination records for temporary employees by design.
- If termination information for temporary employees is required, use a report based on employment validity or employment end-date, such as the Employment Details report.
