Symptom
- When creating a new model by copying an existing model, transforms from the source model are missing in the newly created model.
- Transform logs exist in the source model’s import query, but those transformations are not present in the target model.
- No error messages are shown.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.6
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the existing source model.
- Create a new model by copying the existing model.
- Complete the model copy process.
- Open the newly created model.
- Verify the transforms in the target model.
- Observe that the transforms are missing and not copied from the source model.
Cause
This behavior is by design. Import transforms are not copied into the model because they are part of the import flow.
Resolution
You may add transforms at will to the model once it has been imported.
