3766224 - Public dimension shows id/name instead of description in the Just Ask in SAC

• A dimension that has a description in the model appears with its technical ID/name in the Just Ask interface.
• When running a question like " by " in Just Ask, most dimensions show their descriptions, but the affected one shows the technical identifier instead.
• No error message is displayed.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.6 

1. Open a model and confirm that a public dimension has a description maintained.
2. Open Just Ask and select the same model.
3. Ask a question that groups results by that dimension (for example, " by ").
4. Observe that the dimension is displayed using its technical ID/name instead of the description.

Just Ask retrieves dimension metadata using English (United States) as the default locale. If a dimension does not have an English (United States) translation maintained, Just Ask cannot show the translated description and falls back to the technical ID.

1. Open the model in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. Navigate to the Translation section in the left-hand panel.
3. Set the language to English (United States).
4. Maintain the translated values for the relevant fields of the affected dimension(s).
5. Save the changes.
6. After the next Just Ask synchronization, verify that the display names are shown instead of technical IDs. Repeat for any other affected dimensions.
