3766264 - SAP Cloud Connector Monitoring Shows Handshake Failure and Tunnel Unavailability Alerts in SAP Solution Manager After Cloud Connector Upgrade - SAP solution manager

Symptom

  • After patching cloud connectors to version 2.19.0.2 and updating the JVM to 8.1.108, managed system configuration initially fails with handshake failure alerts as described in note 1178546.
  • Enabling EC cipher suites resolves TLS 1.2 and managed system configuration completes successfully.
  • System Monitoring continues to report cloud connector tunnel unavailability with Handshake failure alerts and Cloud Connector monitoring metrics remain red or unavailable.

The following errors have been encountered during Managed Systems Configurations for Cloud Connector:

  • "The load balancing URL https://loadbalancerhost:loadbalancerport could not be reached: Error while silently connecting: org.w3c.www.proto"."

and

  • "Unable to open SSL connection to host [<SCC's hostname>:<port>]. Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: handshake failure."
