3766295 - The posting period error (message no. M7053) doesn't block the confirmation in Confirm Production Operation (F3069) app

You have set the "Termination for Incorrect Goods Movements" indicator in configuration activity 102440 - Define Confirmation Parameters. However, in Confirm Production Operation (F3069) app, the confirmation is successfully posted without any warning message, the failed goods movement generates an entry in Reprocess Goods Movements (COGI) app. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to Confirm Production Operation app, enter enter production order and operation, click "Save" button.
2. Observe that the confirmation is saved without blocking
3. Check in COGI, there is an entry with error message no.M7053 for the failed goods movement.

In Confirm Production Operation app, with "Termination for Incorrect Goods Movements" indicator set, some of the goods movement relevant errors (such as deficit in stock for component) will prevent the confirmation.

However, for the specific closing period error, the design is message no.M7053 will not prevent confirmation. The assumption is that the operator does not have authorization to close or open posting periods. If this error prevents the operator from posting a confirmation, it basically prevents operator from doing his job. If this error is reflected in COGI instead, other operators with authorization can fix the issue later without blocking the current work. 

For Confirm Production Operation app, it's not possible to block the confirmation with posting period error. The error needs to be handled in COGI.

If it's needed to block the confirmation when posting period error (message no. M7053) occurs, use Confirm Production Order Operation (CO11N) app instead.
