3766331 - Unable to cancel onboarding: error [coe0018] lastdateworked required on employment details, successfactors onboarding

• When attempting to cancel onboarding for a recruit, the system displays error [COE0018]: “The cancellation request for new recruit the id failed due to the following reasons: lastDateWorked is a required field and cannot be blank. Please complete the required fields for Employment Details on the New Recruit Data page and try again.”
• Onboarding cancellation may succeed for other recruits.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Go to the Onboarding Dashboard.
2. Select the relevant onboardee.
3. Open Actions.
4. Choose Cancel Onboarding.
5. Check the option to cancel all onboarding tasks.
6. Select a cancellation reason.
7. Confirm the cancellation.
8. Observe error [COE0018] indicating lastDateWorked is required and cannot be blank.

The lastDateWorked field on the New Recruit Data > Employment Details page is blank, and the cancellation process requires this field, resulting in error [COE0018].

1. Access the Onboarding Dashboard.
2. Open the onboardee’s New Recruit Data.
3. Go to the Employment Details tab (not Personal Data or Position Details).
4. Enter a value for the lastDateWorked field based on the scenario:
5. 1. If the candidate has not started work: set lastDateWorked to one day before the hiring date.
6. 2. If the candidate started and was terminated: set lastDateWorked to the actual last day worked (termination date).
7. 3. If the candidate is a rehire: clear lastDateWorked (set to null) if applicable.
8. Save the changes.
9. Retry: Take Action → Cancel Onboarding, then confirm.
