3766440 - Not possible to maintain tax percentage for account key MW3 for Canada tax code SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, in SSCUI 101016 Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases, maintain tax code for Canada under jurisdiction code CA00, and see that for account key MW3 the tax percentage field is greyed out/not possible to enter.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to SSCUI 101016 "Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases".
  2. Enter tax code under jurisdiction code CA00
  3. Observe that the Tax Percentage Rate is greyed out for account type MW3.

Cause

Jurisdiction code CA00 stands for "Federal Level for GST" and it is not possible to maintain MW3 under CA00.

Resolution

Select another jurisdiction code other than CA00 and MW3 entry will be editable.
