3766818 - Language Translation Not Displayed For The First List Value In The Edit Screen

Symptom

In the Edit screen, when the first value is selected from the list, the maintained language translations for the field is not visible.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer core applications

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any Business Object (BO).
  2. Open a custom field in Adaptation Mode.
  3. Navigate to the Edit screen.
  4. In the List Values section, select the first value in the list (for example, 101).
  5. Observe that the maintained language translations are not displayed in the Description of List Values section.
  6. Select another value from the list (for example, 111).
  7. Re-select the initial first value (101).
  8. Observe that the maintained language translations are now displayed correctly in the Description of List Values section

Cause

This behavior is caused by the current design of the field editor screen in Adaptation Mode

Resolution

This is the current system-designed behavior.
