3766907 - UMB "Revaluation from Posting to Prior Period" posted on first day of current period after prior-period price change - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When using MR21 to change prior-period price, it is noticed two accounting documents are posted. One is for price change in the prior period. The other is with transaction key UMB "Revaluation from Posting to Prior Period" in the current period. 

The posting date of the document for UMB "Revaluation from Posting to Prior Period" is the first day of current period. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Perform a material price change using MR21 with a posting date in the previous month (prior period). 
2. Observe that two accounting documents are created: one dated in the prior period and another dated on the first day of the current period with transaction key UMB.

In CKM3PH (the Price History app), it only shows the entry date and not the posting date.

• Entry date: when the change is entered in the system and is equal to the document date in the accounting documents in case of MR21. 
• Posting date for the price change period: equal to the posting date entered in MR21
• Posting date for the subsequent period: first day of the period

This is the systems standard behavior.
