3766923 - System Dump When Display a CPF Formula - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. In the DEV system, go to "Implementation activities": Define Parameter Catalog for Flexible Billing Document Posting, add a custom field. Save the change in Request 1.

2. In the same system, go to IMG: Define Formulas for Flexible Billing Document Posting and create a new formula that uses the custom field, maintain some other content in the formula including the decision table records. Save the change in Request 2.

3. Release and import only Request 2 into the TEST system.

4. In the TEST system, open the formula’s decision table. System dump occurs. 

A custom field was added to a CPF parameter catalog, and a CPF formula was created or modified to use that custom field. The two changes were saved in separate customizing requests. Only the request containing the formula was imported into the target system. The other request — which added the custom field to the parameter catalog — was not imported yet. 

Note: The custom field itself already exists in the target system. 

We highly recommend consolidating all changes to a CPF parameter catalog and its dependent formula into one customizing request. 

Impact : If a CPF Formula that uses a custom field is transported without the corresponding Parameter Catalog customizing, displaying the formula’s decision table will cause a system dump on the target system. Affected CPF usages include those with custom fields in the data source parameter (e.g., B01, BF0).
