3767009 - unexpected "select closing/opening postings at year end" option appears in fbl1h/fbl3h/fbl5h after upgrade - SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • After a system upgrade, the option "select closing/opening postings at year end" appears under the Type field in apps FBL1H, FBL3H, and FBL5H (in both GUI and Fiori).
  • The option was not seen before the upgrade and is not intended for regular day-to-day use.
  • The Type option "special G/L transactions" does not initially appear in FBL1H/FBL3H/FBL5H.
