Symptom
After adding a Global Assignment, the system automatically generates the host assignment Username by appending a suffix ("-1" / "-2" / "-3", etc.) to the home assignment Username.
Example:
- Home assignment Username: kmillow1234
- Host assignment Username (auto-generated): kmillow1234-2
The User ID 103385 for the host assignment is coming from: Company System and Logo Settings >> Next Employee ID Assigned Details.
How to set host Assignment Username to be identical to the User ID?
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
1. Add global assignments for sample user Kate Millow.
3. Check Username and User ID for host assignment via Reporting.
Resolution
Under Manage data >> Global Assignment Configuration, here is a standard field: Make user ID same as user name.
If Make user ID same as user name is set as No:
The host assignment’s Username(kmillow1234-2) is formed by appending "-1" / "-2" / "-3" to the home assignment’s Username(kmillow1234). User ID 103385 is coming from: Company System and Logo Settings >> Next Employee ID Assigned Details. They are expected system behaviors.
User ID is different from the Username in this case.
(Note: If necessary, you can use basic import to change the host assignment's Username.)
If Make user ID same as user name is set as Yes:
The host assignment’s Username (kmillow1234-1) is formed by appending "-1" / "-2" / "-3" to the home assignment’s Username (kmillow1234).
User ID is set as same as Username.
