3767104 - Automatic Scrap Posting After Usage Decision in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

During posting of a Usage Decision (UD) for an inspection lot a partial quantity is assigned to Unrestricted Use. When the inspection lot Usage Decision is saved, the system is expected to automatically post the remaining quantity to Scrap.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to application "Record Usage Decision".
  2. Search for the inspection lot.
  3. Post a partial quantity of the inspection lot to Unrestricted Use.
  4. Save the Usage Decision (UD).
  5. Observe that the remaining quantity is not automatically posted to Scrap.

Cause

Configuration for automatic posting of the remaining quantity is not maintained in SSCUI 103815 – "Define Inventory Postings".

Resolution

The configuration activity “Define Inventory Postings (SSCUI 103815)” is available for maintaining the required inventory posting settings to enable automatic scrap posting of the remaining quantity after saving the inspection lot Usage Decision.

For complete details on configuring this activity, refer to the SAP Learning Journey: Configuring Usage Decisions.
