3767814 - Error 16220: Failed to allocate xxx bytes from the memory pool when collecting data for monTable - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • After upgrading ASE to 16.1 SP00 PL02
  • ASE returns error 16220 when querying monTables:

    Msg 16220, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'ASE', Line 1:
    Failed to allocate 31932 bytes from the memory pool when collecting data for table '$monOpenObjectActivity'. 
    Please consider increasing the pool size via the 'MDA memory pool size' option to accommodate larger memory requirements.

  • This can be seen for any of the monTables, with these ones most likely:
    • monLocks
    • monProcess
    • monOpenObjectActivity

  • In a Business Suite environment with DBACockpit, Data Collectors of the indexes and tables may raise these with messages including:

    Error in job scheduling / execution (job exit code = 0; job user code = 1-)
