Symptom

  • Data transfer from SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to SAP IBP via Integration Suite standard content fails during the Write IBP Data step.
  • Error message: "Message Type="Error": Value for parameter CUSTDESCR exceeds maximum length limit of 60 characters."
  • IBP response also shows: "Message Type="Error": An error has occurred in the system."
  • IBP response also shows: "Message Type="Error": Initialization of file CUSTOMER failed."
  • Integration Suite monitoring may show: "com.sap.esb.camel.error.handler.Error EventException: Error Event Exception"
