3768198 - Error "Invalid namespace for Bank Account Number" while maintaining value in Enter Name of Building Society - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Error message "Invalid namespace for Bank Account Number" (/FTI/WEBGUI_MSG031) is raised when trying to maintain value in SSCUI 103133 (Enter Name of Building Society).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to Payables and Receivables management.
2. Go to Payment processing.
3. Select Company-initiated payment and clearing.
4. Use Automatic payments and Payment medium formats.
5. Open "Enter Name of Building Society" (SSCUI 103133).
6. Attempt to maintain values; a namespace error is raised.

As per cloud framework guideline, customers cannot create records starting with below mentioned SAP Best practice content namespace restrictions

SAP reserved character fields - S, Q, R, X, P, Y
SAP reserved numeric fields - 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0

This restriction is implemented to protect the customer data because if same records are delivered by SAP in future releases then customer created records will be overwritten.

Namespace restriction is applied on the key fields of an application.

The key field in this case is the attribute "Bank Account Number".
