3768249 - How to customize a CDS View related to delivery which can display all the information of the custom fields whose type is "Code List"? - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

The user creates a custom field with "Code List" type at the delivery header level and would like to find a CDS View to display all the information of this custom field. However, in the standard CDS View I_DELIVERYDOCUMENT, only the value of the custom field "Code Value" is displayed.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  1. Navigate to "Custom CDS Views" app and create a custom CDS View with "Standard CDS View" Scenario.
  2. Add "I_DELIVERYDOCUMENT" under the "Data Source" Tab.
  3. Click "Add" Tab and select "Elements" under the "Elements" Tab.
  4. Select the fields that need to be displayed ("Custom Field" Tab -> "_Text" Tab).
  5. Publish this CDS View and the selected fields will be display.
