3768804 - Publish button visible and job can be published despite hiring team role publish permission set to none - SmartRecruiters

Symptom

A custom Hiring Team Role has been created with the Publish, Unpublish, and Cancel permissions set to None. However, when a user is assigned this role on a job, the Publish button remains visible and the user is able to publish the job successfully.

  • The custom Hiring Team Role has all publishing permissions set to None in the configuration.
  • The user is assigned only this custom role on the job and no other Hiring Team Roles.
  • The user has a Standard System Role.
  • The Publish button appears on the job page and the user can successfully publish the job.

This behavior may appear inconsistent when comparing the custom role's configured permissions with the actual user access on the job page.
