When executing the background job using the template Migrate Documented Credit Decisions in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the job status remains stuck "In Process" for an extended period without completion.

1. Open the app Rebuild Credit Management Data.
2. Start the job template "Migrate Documented Credit Decisions" with the desired parameters.
3. Observe that the job remains in status "In Process" for an extended time without finishing or showing errors.

The volume of Documented Credit Decisions (DCDs) selected in a single execution run is excessively large. When too many DCD records are processed simultaneously, the data volume exceeds the maximum allocable memory limits assigned to the background work process, resulting in a system dump or causing the process to hang.

To prevent memory exhaustion and ensure successful execution, the data volume per execution must be restricted and divided into smaller batches.

Please perform the following steps to mitigate the load:

1. Open the Schedule Credit Management Jobs app.
2. When configuring the parameters for the Migrate Documented Credit Decisions job, utilize specific filtering criteria to restrict the data scope.
3. Execute the migration sequentially in smaller blocks instead of selecting all records at once (for example, process by selecting only one Company Code or a limited group of Credit Segments per single run).
4. Monitor each batch execution to ensure completeness before scheduling the next organizational unit.
