Scheduled publications not created using /api/v1/ps/schedules API in SAC

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.5

1. Attempt to create a scheduled publication using documentation :  /schedules (POST) | SAP Help Portal 
2. Log in to the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) tenant.
3. From the side navigation panel, click on the Calendar.

Notice: No schedule is created in the Calendar, even though the POST API call to create the schedule is successful.

The publication API in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) does not support client credentials (2-legged authentication) for creating publications. API requests made using unsupported authentication methods fail to create publications, even if the request structure is otherwise valid.  

Switch from client credentials (2-legged authentication) to OAuth with interactive usage (3-legged authentication), which is supported for publication scenarios in SAC.
