- You need to migrate assets under construction for which expenses have already been generated.

Resolution
Assets under construction without generated expenses:
There is no option to migrate fixed assets without any value or capitalization date.
The only way for you is to
- migrate Direct Cost Projects (Business Configuration, Activity List of Implementation Project, Integrate and Extend - Migration of Projects).
- After this you need to manually create assets under construction, assign these to the project tasks of the migrated direct cost projects and then assign the AUCs to the project in the Cost and * work center.
For assets under construction (AUC) with generated expenses you can do the following:
- In the migration template, set the capitalization date to the first expense posting date.
- Use an AUC-relevant fixed asset class.
- Maintain depreciation method 0000 – No automatic depreciation for all valuation views.
- Do not maintain a useful life.
- Do not maintain any depreciation values.
- If posting within the same fiscal year, use line item type “Historical cost – current year”.
- After migration, assign the AUC and its material to the relevant project tasks in the Cost and * work center (Projects – Assign AUC or Settlement Rule).
- Please note: When later transferring the AUC to a completed fixed asset, transfer all migrated values manually; the Fixed Asset Settlement run does not transfer these values automatically.
- Like for all accounting relevant migration activities, we strongly advise to test the complete process in a test system first before running in production.
