3769184 - Migrate documented credit decisions job fails with "category 1 is invalid" during migration - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • Migrate Documented Credit Decisions job error: "Category 1 is invalid."
  • Migration status: Not Migrated.

Environment

  • Product: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  • Credit Management (Public Cloud)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Rebuild Credit Management Data (F4234) app.
  2. Choose Create and select the Migrate Documented Credit Decisions job template.
  3. Schedule and run the job.

Cause

The category IDs between the original and new documented credit decisions are not identical (for example, one side uses 0001 while the other uses 1), causing the "Category 1 is invalid" error.

Resolution

  1. Compare the category configuration for documented credit decisions in the original (legacy) and the new app.
  2. Ensure the category IDs are identical on both sides, including leading zeros (for example, 1 vs 0001 must match exactly).
  3. Ensure the category labels/texts are aligned consistently on both sides.
  4. Adjust the configuration so both the original and new documented credit decisions use the same category ID and label.
  5. Rerun the Migrate Documented Credit Decisions job in Rebuild Credit Management Data (F4234) and verify the migration completes successfully.
