3769354 - Error "No required SSL certificate was sent" when executing transaction HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIG for SuccessFactors connection

• Point-to-Point (PTP) Time data replication (PA2001) is initiated in a system (e.g., WS5) where an ECS4HCM upgrade has recently been completed.
• The Business Function HCM_SFEC_TDEC2HR has been activated, iflows have been undeployed, and the time web service is deactivated.
• When attempting to execute the transaction HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIG, the system throws the following error:

No required SSL certificate was sent

This error occurs when the system attempts to connect to SuccessFactors using Client Certificate (X.509 Certificate-Based authentication), but the public certificate from the Employee Central Payroll (ECP) system has not yet been properly uploaded and mapped within the target SuccessFactors instance.

To resolve this issue and authenticate the connection, you must map the ECP public certificate in the SuccessFactors Security Center. Follow these steps:

1. Download the Certificate: On the ECP screen where you are executing the configuration, locate and click the Download Public Key button to save the public certificate to your local machine.
2. Access SuccessFactors: Log into your SuccessFactors instance.
3. Navigate to Security Center: Use the Action Search bar to find and open the Security Center.
4. Open Mapping: Click on X.509 Public Certificate Mapping.
5. Add Configuration: Click Add and fill in the required information, uploading the public key you downloaded in Step 1.
6. Set Integration Type: Ensure that the Integration Type dropdown is explicitly set to Employee Central Payroll.
7. Save and Test: Save the new mapping. Return to your ECP system and test the connection again via HRSFEC_PTP_CONFIG. The SSL certificate error should now be resolved.
