3769398 - Position matrix error while saving a Position

Error on save a Position: "The chosen position does not exist on XX/XX/XXXX . Please choose a valid position for Matrix Relationship of type ""."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Manage Position.
2. Search for a Position.
3. Take Action > Make Correction.
4. Do any change.
5. Keep Position Matrix without selecting any value
6. Attempt to save and observe the behavior and error: The chosen position does not exist on XX/XX/XXXX . Please choose a valid position for Matrix Relationship of type "".

In the custom Position UI, the Matrix Relationship section was configured with a non-grid layout, which led to matrix validation errors during save.

1. Open the custom Position UI in the admin tool for managing configuration UIs.
2. Locate the Matrix Relationship section in the Position UI.
3. Change the section layout to Grid.
4. Save the UI configuration.
5. Test again by editing a Position and saving; the matrix relationship error should no longer occur.
