Custom fields with context Accounting: Market Segment does not work for I_ActualPlanLineItemSemTag and I_ActlPlnLineItemSemTagGLAcct

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. In the Custom Fields app, create a custom field under the business context Accounting: Market Segment (CO-PA Characteristics).
2. In UIs and Reports, try to enable the field for CDS view I_ACTLPLNLINEITEMSEMTAGGLACCT; this CDS view is not offered for enablement.
3. Observe that other CDS views such as I_ACTUALPLANJOURNALENTRYITEM is available and the custom field can be enabled there.
4. In Custom Analytical Queries, confirm the custom field is selectable when using I_ACTUALPLANJOURNALENTRYITEM, but not available for I_ACTLPLNLINEITEMSEMTAGGLACCT or I_ActualPlanLineItemSemTag.

Custom field under this context is not supported for the CDS views I_ActualPlanLineItemSemTag and I_ActlPlnLineItemSemTagGLAcct

1. Note the current limitation: Custom fields created in business context Accounting: Market Segment cannot be used directly in CDS views I_ACTLPLNLINEITEMSEMTAGGLACCT or I_ActualPlanLineItemSemTag.
2. As a workaround, create a custom CDS view that combines the required data (for example, join a semantic-tag-based view with I_ACTUALPLANJOURNALENTRYITEM) so the custom field can be consumed together with semantic tags.
3. If native support is required, it is recommended to raise a feature request via the Customer Influence portal.
