Cause
Expected behavior in specific scenarios.
Resolution
The empty File Name in the Activity Log is an expected behaviors in some specific scenarios.
Some possible reasons for a given entry to have an empty File Name:
1. The Activity Does Not Involve a File Operation.
The "File Name" field is only populated when the logged activity is directly associated with a file-based action (e.g., a file upload or file download).
2. Internal System or Audit Log Changes.
All changes in SAP Datasphere are logged to the Audit/Activity Logs, including internal system user actions and audit log changes themselves. These system-generated entries are not associated with any user-uploaded file, so the "File Name" field will be blank for those rows.
3. "Insert"-Type Events (Object Creation, Not Modification).
Entries that represent the initial creation or insertion of an object (rather than a modification to an existing one) may not carry file-related metadata. These entries record who performed the action and when, but attribute fields like "File Name" may be empty because no file was part of the originating event.
