3769481 - Model Guideline Check Error When Submitting Models for Approval

• Submitting a process model for approval fails at the the 'Model Guideline Check' external action step within the approval workflow.
• One of the following may have occured: 
  • The selected guideline was removed from the Model Guideline Check action (value cleared).
  • The guideline field shows an invalid value error:

If the Guideline has been removed from the Model Guideline Check action:

1. In Organization Settings > Actions > Model Guideline Check, note the SPM Authentication Email user.
2. In User Management, assign that user either an API license (recommended) or a Modeler license. Please see Step 6 of Enabling Model Guideline Check for Organization Administrators.
3. In Organization Settings > Actions > Model Guideline Check, use Test to confirm success and that guidelines are retrievable.
4. In the approval workflow, open the Model Guideline Check task, and select one of the modeling rules from the dropdown box for the Guideline field. Publish the workflow and retest.

If the Guideline shows an invalid value error:

1. Modeling rules are managed in Process Modeler. Please see our user guide here. If the previously selected modeling rule was deleted in Process Modeler, the Guideline field would show the invalid error.
2. Click on 'Remove Value', then, select an existing modeling rule from the dropdown.
3. Publish the workflow, and retest.
