3769766 - Error message "Addresses - You do not have the necessary permissions" pop-up when saving Future-Dated changes - SuccessFactors Employee Central

Symptom

When trying to update the Address information with a future date, users received an error message: "Addresses - You do not have the necessary permission." 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to or proxy as the affected user;
  2. Open an employee record (themselves or other users);
  3. Go to Personal Information > Address Information;
  4. Select the "Edit" button;
  5. Under "Effective Date", enter a future date. 
  6. Make the necessary changes;
  7. Save;
  8. System throws the error message "Addresses - You do not have the necessary permission." and does not save changes. 

Resolution

Ensure that the user has the following permission:

  • User Permissions > Employee Data > Access to Future-Dated Data (View)
