Unable to determine freight charges based on transportation zone in the Manage Rate Tables app. 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the Manage Rate Tables app
2. Select the relevant rate table
3. Choose Edit
4. Search for “Transportation Zone” in the calculation base/scale base options
5. Field Transport Zone not available

This is a known limitation In SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. The system uses calculation sheets and rate tables linked to charge types with restricted scale bases. Transportation Zones are typically used for route determination rather than direct rate calculation.

As a standard approach, you can use location based determination. Use Source Location and Destination Location as the calculation base and maintain rates per location combination. Considering Transport Zone as a calculation base in Manage Rate Tables app is a new requirement. We kindly request you to submit an enhancement request via SAP Customer Influence. Request "Transportation Zone as scale base in rate tables". Please use session "SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Supply Chain Logistics, public edition" (https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/2897) to address specific feature requests for the Transportation Management business processes.
