3769900 - Is it possible to prevent planner user from deleting an entire 'Version' via story/modeler while allowing data entry in Sap Analytics Cloud (SAC)?

• A user with planner role can right‑click a story cell, choose 'Version', and select 'Delete Version' Or delete the 'Version' directly in 'Modeler'.
• The Version dimension is not secured as no warning or error message is shown when attempting the deletion.
• The Delete Version action removes an entire version that contains fact data.

SAP Analytics Cloud (2026.8.10)

1. Log in to the SAC system.
2. Open the story that contains a table
3. Right‑click a submission cell and select the "Version" option.
4. Click "Delete Version".
   >>Observe that the selected version (with data) is deleted successfully, without receiving any warnings or alerts

By design behavior.

An enhancement request (ER) to prevent the deletion of 'Version' has been created: Prevent /Bloc deletion of 'Version" containing transaction data in SAC - Customer Influence
