3769959 - Input controls and dropdown values not working when story zoom is below 67 percent in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • When a story is viewed with browser zoom set below approximately 67%, input controls stop working.
  • Dropdown values in input controls do not appear, so filters cannot be selected.
  • Filter options may appear spread out and are not selectable.
  • No error message is displayed.
  • All elements appear too small at 100% browser zoom.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud (2026.8)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any story in a supported web browser in view mode.
  2. Set the browser zoom to below approximately 67% (for example, 50–66%).
  3. Attempt to open input control dropdowns and select filter values.
  4. Observe that dropdown values do not appear and filtering cannot be performed.

Cause

Application limitation (by design): stories are supported only at 100% browser zoom. Zooming out below certain thresholds (for example, below ~67%) can cause input controls and other UI elements to malfunction.

Resolution

  1. Set the browser zoom to 100% when designing or viewing stories.
  2. If on‑screen elements appear too small at 100% browser zoom, adjust the operating system display scaling instead of changing browser zoom:
    • On Windows 10/11: Settings > System > Display > Scale and layout, increase “Change the size of text, apps, and other items” (for example, to 125%).
    • On macOS: System Settings/Preferences > Displays > Scaled, choose a larger text option.
  3. Keep browser zoom at 100% to ensure input controls and dropdowns render and function correctly.
