3770010 - Error throw when saving date-type fields

Symptom

  • When saving Employment Details > Seniority Start Date in Latest People Profile, an error is raised if the maximum length of the field is 8 characters.
  • Error message: "Maximum length for the Seniority Start Date field is 8 characters."

Environment

  • Product: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • People Profile - Full Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Employment Details->Seniority Start Date has a maximum length of 8 characters.
  2. Navigate to the Latest People Profile -> Job Data > Employment Details.
  3. Edit the Seniority Start Date field and enter any date.
  4. Save the changes and observe the error: "Maximum length for the Seniority Start Date field is 8 characters."

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
