3770022 - How to assign a single VAT Code to multiple VAT Registers (Italy) - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The requirement is to assign a single VAT Code to multiple VAT Registers (for example, the same VAT code to different Italian registers).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the relevant customizing activity that stores VAT Code assignments (table 102451).
2. Attempt to assign the same VAT Code to more than one VAT Register.
3. Observe that only company and VAT Code are key fields, preventing assignment of one VAT Code to multiple VAT Registers.

VAT Code is a key field. 

For Italian fiscal legal requirement you must maintain a progressive and consistent numbering for each VAT Register so you can create by a request to SAP support a new document type and number range based on your need, to link this new document type a VAT Code and maintain a specific variant in VAT Declaration App.
