3770043 - How to make characteristic be displayed with description instead of technical name in variant configuration screen

Symptom

When opening the variant configuration screen, for example, during sales order creation (VA01), characteristic is displayed with characteristic technical name.
Changing the settings in user default can make it possible to display the characteristic description.
