3770163 - Schedule onboarding meeting task cannot save ics invite in classic outlook but works in new outlook

• The onboarding (ONB) task “Schedule Onboarding Meeting” is not functioning correctly when using the Classic Outlook version.
• When attempting to complete the task in Classic Outlook, it is not possible to save the iCalendar (.ics) invite.
• This prevents users from scheduling the onboarding meeting via the system-generated task.
• The functionality works correctly in the New Outlook version, indicating a compatibility issue specific to the Classic Outlook version.
• No error messages or error codes were provided.

 SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Attempt to complete the “Schedule Onboarding Meeting” task using Classic Outlook.
2. Try to save the iCalendar (.ics) invite generated by the task.

A known compatibility issue with the Classic Outlook version: the “Schedule Onboarding Meeting” task does not properly support saving/sending .ics files in Classic Outlook.

1. Use the New Outlook version to generate and save/send the .ics invite for the “Schedule Onboarding Meeting” task, as the functionality works correctly there.
2. The solution of this issue is currently under investigation. Please follow this KBA for updates.
