3770166 - Offer letter cannot be edited or sent before "review new hire data" (docusign) in onb 2.0 - SAP successfactors onboarding

• HR wants the offer letter to be generated before the "Review New Hire data" step.
• HR needs the ability to modify the offer letter before sending it via DocuSign.
• The current ONB 2.0 process does not support modifying the offer letter via a UI before sending.
• The offer letter is currently generated after the PDC step is completed.

 SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Generate the offer letter during the PDC step.
2. Request that the offer letter be generated before the "Review New Hire data" step.
3. Upload the final PDF file in Manage Documents.
4. Create a new hire task for HR administrators to start, which is expected to create an email with the final approved offer letter.

By design, Onboarding 2.0 generates offer letters after the PDC step and does not provide a standard UI to modify and send the offer letter before the "Review New Hire data" step or to auto-generate and send it from a custom MDF/custom task.

1. Acknowledge the product limitation: standard Onboarding 2.0 does not support editing and sending the offer letter prior to "Review New Hire data" and generates the offer letter only after PDC.
2. Finalize the offer letter outside of Onboarding before initiating the onboarding process, and send it for signature via DocuSign externally.
3. After the offer letter is signed, proceed with standard Onboarding steps (for example, "Review New Hire data" and PDC).
4. If capturing pre-offer details within the system is required, you may create a custom MDF object and a custom task to collect data; however, generating the offer letter from that UI and automatically sending it by email or DocuSign is not supported as a standard feature.
5. For implementation guidance or customizations beyond standard capabilities, engage an authorized implementation partner or professional services.
